Ah, social media. It is everywhere, and as business owners, non-profit organizations, and bloggers, we are nothing without it. We are small and social media is so…large and confusing! There are so many platforms, and so little time. If you are anything like me, you have a hard enough time balancing your daily work/family activities let alone balancing all of your social media accounts and goals. As much as I hate to admit it, sometimes social media becomes a fly by the seat of my pants task. Sometimes things get posted on Twitter. Sometimes Facebook. Rarely on Google+. There is no consistency, even when it comes to my social media profiles.
I am going to make my social media goals more manageable by having a solid social media plan in place by the end of the year (it’s going to be here before you know it!) That plan starts with deciding which platforms are actually going to work for me. And then I actually have to complete my profiles and keep them up to date, cross reference them, and *ghasp* – use them!
Remember, consistent social media profiles are just as important to your branding as your logo!
Are your social media profiles up to date?
