My Story
I am Elaine, also known as Laine (Lay-nee), and my derby name, Crazy Eyeris. I’m a fresh meat derby girl, mother, wife, and WordPress designer. I spend my days juggling kids and work, making plans and making lists, and contemplating what it’s like to be an organized disaster.
I am frequently spotted dancing to music in grocery store aisles and to Weather Channel muzac at home. Word.
I like wine, cooking, autumn, Christmas, birthdays, and watching my kids when they don’t realize it. I have an extensive collection of black clothing and can’t seem to buy colors. No I am not in mourning. I just like black, it’s slimming.
Prior to starting my business, Elaine Griffin Designs, I was a stay at home mother and owner of a handmade clothing business. My love of graphic and web design was born out of this business, while I was working with the designer of my site. Many books, tutorials and hundreds of practicing hours later, here I am, doing something that I absolutely love.
This, combined with my background in sociology gives me a unique perspective that allows me to relate to my clients on a personal level, teach them how to use their sites, and ease their fears.
What I do for YOU
I will provide you with an awesome WordPress theme customization. I am working mostly with the Genesis Framework, but am familiar with several other themes, so don’t be afraid to ask! We will work together in order to make your online house your home.
I will work with you to provide the logo you deserve. A logo that represents your brand, your site, your blog – YOU!
We will work together to customize and get you familiarized with social media. It’s not as scary as it seems and is 100% necessary for business and blog success.

I get what it’s like to start or expand a business. I understand how overwhelming it can be to be a beginner blogger. I know what it is like to start from scratch – to put it all on the line, and be scared so bad that you feel emotionally, physically and mentally paralyzed. Many times, no matter how much you want and need to do this it’s very scary and very draining! But I also know how gratifying and freeing it all is. To hold your business card in your hands for the first time. To see your name or business name on a screen for the WORLD to see! So not only do I offer graphic and web design, but I also offer a helping hand – someone who will help to make it great, and less scary. Someone that will stand in your corner and cheer. Because whether you are taking a big leap or a small step, you *will* be okay.
